Today, we’re proud to announce that Cedar has been selected as the winner of the Best Overall Patient Engagement Platform award in the 2021 MedTech Breakthrough awards program, which received more than 3,850 nominations from around the world. MedTech Breakthrough is an independent market intelligence organization that recognizes top companies, technologies, and products in the global health and medical technology market.

The nominations were evaluated by an independent panel of experts within the digital health and medical technology industries, with the winning products and companies selected based on a variety of criteria, including most innovative and technologically advanced products and services.

Since 2016, our patient engagement platform has combined expertise from fintech, adtech, consumer tech and health tech to simplify the financial experience for consumers, while also improving bill resolution and payment outcomes for providers. And we’ve come a long way: earlier this year, we raised a $200M Series D financing round, valuing the company at $3.2B. This new injection of capital will allow us to further extend its footprint and continue innovating to meet shifting needs in healthcare.

“Meeting and exceeding consumer preferences around digital experiences is no longer an option for the healthcare industry, especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Florian Otto, our CEO and co-founder. “We’re honored to be recognized by MedTech Breakthrough for our innovative approach to making healthcare the healthcare journey more accessible, transparent and personalized.”
