Recognition follows cultivation of hybrid work environment, as well as growth of Cedar’s customer base and product offerings

Cedar, an enterprise financial engagement platform that improves the end-to-end journey for consumers, announced today that it has been recognized on the Forbes list of America’s Best Startup Employers for the third year in a row. This prestigious award is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.

America’sBest Startup Employers examines the best performing startups as an employer, and were selected based on an innovative methodology evaluating employer excellence in three ways:

  • Employer Reputation: Company specific algorithm-based text analysis extracted from social media channels such as news sites, micro-blogs, blogs and social networks
  • Employee Satisfaction: Measured through employee’s retention and reviews on the employer brands
  • Company Growth: Comprehensive evaluations on website traffic, headcount growth rate, and job openings

“It’s rewarding to see Cedar recognized for the third year in a row on Forbes’ esteemed list,” said Florian Otto, CEO and Co-founder of Cedar. “The success of our organization would not be possible without the incredible team and culture we’ve cultivated at Cedar, and our continued investment in achieving sustainable growth. We look forward to welcoming new talent that shares our passion for putting the consumer front and center of the healthcare ecosystem.”

Founded in 2016, Cedar is on a mission to empower individuals to easily and affordably pursue the care they need. Headquartered in New York City, the company adopted a hybrid work model in May 2022 to enable all Cedarians to work in a way that best meets their needs—whether full-time, split between home and office, or fully remote.

The ranking closely follows Cedar’s latest product news with the launch of its Payer Intelligence Layer, which integrates data from health insurers and healthcare providers to help create a single source of information for consumers managing medical bills. As of December 2022, Cedar is engaging with 20 million patients on an annualized basis, and is on target to process $2.7 billion in patient payments annually.

Earlier this year, Cedar was also honored by Built In’s Best Places To Work Awards, including both national and New York City lists. To learn about career opportunities at Cedar, visit https://www.cedar.com/careers/.
