Cedar Ranks Among Highest-Scoring Businesses on Inc. Magazine’s Annual List of Best Workplaces for 2023 For the Third Year in a Row

Cedar was named among the best workplaces in the Established Excellence category, which includes companies who have had 5-14 years in business.

Cedar, an enterprise financial engagement platform that improves the end-to-end journey for consumers, has been named to Inc. magazine’s annual Best Workplaces list in the Established Excellence category. Featured in the May/June 2023 issue, which hits newsstands on May 16, 2023, and prominently featured on Inc.com, the list is the result of a comprehensive measurement of American companies that have excelled in creating exceptional workplaces and company culture, whether operating in a physical or a virtual facility.

Cedar was founded in 2016, and is on a mission to empower individuals to easily and affordably pursue the care they need. Headquartered in New York City with a flexible hybrid work model, Cedar continues to attract exceptional talent who thrive in a growth-oriented environment. Cedar’s employer value proposition, Grow With Cedar,  resonates with all Cedarians as they work to improve the healthcare experience across the ecosystem–from providers and payers to the people they serve. As a leading innovator in the healthcare space, Cedar has a unique advantage with a direct line between their work and social impact.

After collecting data from thousands of submissions, Inc. selected 591 honorees this year. Each company that was nominated took part in an employee survey, conducted by Quantum Workplace, which included topics such as management effectiveness, perks, fostering employee growth and overall company culture. The organization’s benefits were also audited to determine overall score and ranking.

“We’re honored to be included on Inc.’s annual Best Workplaces list for the third year in a row, and especially excited to be included in the Established Excellence category,” said Florian Otto, CEO and Co-founder of Cedar. “At Cedar, we know the company’s success is completely driven by the success of our team—building a world class healthcare experience begins with building a great team. That’s why we’ve invested in building a strong culture that embodies Cedar’s values.”

“Being named to Best Workplaces is an honor that only a small fraction of companies have been able to claim,” says Inc. editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk. “Proving to the world that you’re a magnet for talent and have a culture that keeps teams engaged, productive, and proud to come to work is a truly remarkable achievement.”

Earlier this year, Cedar was also honored by Built In’s Best Places To Work Awards, including both national and New York City lists, as well as the Forbes list of America’s Best Startup Employers.
