Cedar Awarded on Forbes’ America’s Best Startup Employers for Fourth Consecutive Year

Recognition follows ongoing success in building innovative product offerings to solve healthcare’s affordability problem and a dynamic work environment

Cedar, an end-to-end healthcare financial engagement platform, announced today that it has been recognized on the Forbes list of America’s Best Startup Employers for the fourth year in a row. This prestigious award is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.

The America’s Best Startup Employers 2024 ranking examines best-performing startups as employers through defined KPIs to guide potential candidates in finding innovative and stable startups to work for. Companies considered in the evaluation must be headquartered in the U.S., founded between the years 2014 and 2021, employing at least 50 employees and exhibiting a startup structure.

More than 7 million data points were gathered and analyzed. Out of 20,000 companies, only 3,000 qualified for an in-depth analysis based on three criteria:

1. Employer Reputation: Relevant workplace aspects and search terms are defined and tested (e.g., employee engagement, company/corporate culture and company strategy). Algorithm-based text analysis was used to categorize positive, neutral, or negative content.

2. Employee Satisfaction: Topics involved retention, compensation and benefits, workplace flexibility, diversity and inclusivity, etc.

3. Growth: Data regarding website traffic, headcount growth, headcount total, job openings, etc. was analyzed.

“It’s rewarding to see Cedar recognized year after year as a top place to work, especially by Forbes on their esteemed list for startups,” said Florian Otto, CEO and Co-founder of Cedar. “The success of our organization and products is only possible because of the incredible team and culture we’ve cultivated at Cedar. Our commitment to workplace flexibility fosters a dynamic, innovative and inclusive environment, and we enable all Cedarians to work in a way that best meets their needs.”

With a vision for a healthcare system where everyone can easily and affordably pursue the care they need, this ranking closely follows Cedar’s success in bringing together providers, payers, financial institutions and government assistance to address the affordability crisis in healthcare. Additionally, earlier this year, Cedar was also honored by Built In’s Best Places to Work Awards and Glassdoor’s Employees’ Choice Awards
